Education: Mr. Marr graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business with emphasis in Accounting from the School of Business at Montana State University.

Expertise: Mr. Marr is experienced in a number of industries, including manufacturing, professional services, nonprofit, and retail.  Mr. Marr also has significant knowledge to provide closely held business consulting and tax compliance.  He also performs controller services for certain clients.

Career Highlights: Mr. Marr has provided accounting compliance and consulting services to closely-held businesses since 1987.  Mr. Marr joined Marr and Company in 1987 as a member of the tax and accounting practice.  Previously, Mr. Marr was employed by Peat Marwick Main & Co. in the Billings, Montana office as part of the audit staff.

Activities and Memberships: Mr. Marr's professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He has passed the Uniform CPA Examination as well as the Accountant’s Ethics Examination.

Education: Mr. Louk graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration.

Expertise: Mr. Louk is experienced in several industries, including governmental, not for profit, manufacturing, professional services, employee benefit plans and financial institutions.

Career Highlights: Mr. Louk originally joined Marr and Company, P.C. in 2002 as a senior auditor and rejoined the firm in 2006 as a Manager. Previously, he was the Vice-President of Finance for Fretwell-Downing, Inc. in Overland Park, Kansas and a senior auditor for BKD, LLP in Kansas City, Missouri.

Activities and Memberships: Mr. Louk’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He passed the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Examination and subsequently completed his Accountant’s Ethics Examination.

Education: Mr. Hanner graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree. 

Expertise: Mr. Hanner is experienced in several industries, including nonprofits, governmental entities and manufacturing.  He has audited nonprofit and governmental entities since 2002.

Career Highlights: Mr. Hanner joined Marr and Company, P.C. in 2004 as a senior auditor, promoted to audit manager in January 2013, and became a shareholder in 2019.  He oversees the scheduling of the current clients and seeks client growth and profitability of the firm. Prior to joining the firm, he was a staff auditor for KPMG, LLP in Kansas City, Missouri.

Activities and Memberships: Mr. Hanner's professional affiliations include the American institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He has passed the Uniform CPA Examination as well as the Accountant’s Ethics Examination.

Education: Mr. DeRocher obtained both a Bachelors and Master’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa.

Expertise: Mr. DeRocher is experienced in a variety of industries including nonprofit, financial institutions, manufacturing, and employee benefit plans.

Career Highlights: Mr. DeRocher joined the audit department of Marr and Company, P.C. in 2012 and became a shareholder in 2019.  He began his career with McGladrey and Pullen, LLP after graduation and spent three years performing audits.  During his time at McGladrey and Pullen, he was promoted to senior associate and was in charge of many engagements.  His experience was furthered at Keller & Owens, LLP where he spent more than three years performing and managing primarily nonprofit engagements.

Activities and Memberships: Mr. DeRocher's professional affiliations include the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  He has passed the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Examination and also completed the Accountant’s Ethics Examination.

Education:  Mr. Shull obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Kansas in Lawrence.

Expertise:  Mr. Shull has nearly 45 years of public audit and accounting experience.  He specializes in governmental and not-for-profit industries. 

Career Highlights:  Mr. Shull joined the Marr and Company team in 2018.  He was a manager at Cudney, Ecord, McEnroe and Mullane, LLC for 35 years prior to joining our team.

Activities and Memberships:  Mr. Shull is a licensed CPA in both Kansas and Missouri.  His professional affiliations include being a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  He has passed the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Examination and also completed the Accountant's Ethics Examination.
